If you have already bought the conveyor we may be stuck with it because of cost but we need to try to change the motors out for larger ones and maybe the chains too. The motors on the current 051A have been replaced almost once per year of this program (8 times total between the 2 lines). We have also had to change out the chains and the sprockets but not as frequently. These items also have such a long lead time on these it causes us downtime. Can we please try to at least upsize the motors on this new line? The one you show for the large section is only .5 KW which is the same size as the one on 051A but on 09PL our conveyor is longer. For this new line I think we need 1.0HP for the large section and go ahead and change to .5HP for the small section to be safe.

After we upsize the motor my request is for you to still send spare components during shipping. We would like spare motors/gearboxes, sprockets, and chains (if 1 chain breaks we must replace both because they stretch so we need 2 chains for each section). All of these items are hard for us to get in the US and have long lead times. It can save us a lot of downtime later.

I think it may also be wise to program the lines so if they are not running for a certain amount of time the conveyor will shut off automatically. The current line only has a manual on/off and does occasionally get left on. This shortens the motors life and wastes energy.

Is the conveyor going to keep running while someone is in the cell ? If so the conveyor needs to be fully blocked with expanded metal. If we do maintenance on the end of the conveyor that is outside of the cell there need to be removable covers with safety door plugs so the conveyor is shut down.

Also, if the ends of the shafts are exposed please make sure they caps on them to protect them and the bearings.

Also, this conveyor looks much larger than what is shown in our layout. Can our layout accommodate this conveyor? If not please let us know and send new layout otherwise setup may get delayed.
